C-Secure expands its service excellence in remote vending management into Europe
In June 2009, C-Secure officially launched its European Division, with a satellite office in Madrid, Spain. This division will initially reach out to suppliers, owners and operators of beverage and snack vending machines. According to division head, Mario Cotza, "The need to keep machines accessible to consumers, assuring a safe product at all times, all while also keeping labor cost in check, is a big need that C-Secure addresses. C-Secure's excellence in service and customer-tailored approach sets us apart."

Dow to collaborate with IBM on their Global Innovation Outlook on Water
The GIO on water was held around the world, with the intention of discussing strategies for improving the world's water systems. The final report - The IBM Global Innovation Outlook on Water - was released on March 16. "The sessions revealed that society and business are facing some complex challenges when it comes to using and managing water resources on this planet. Without sufficient insight into factors affecting water supply and usage you increasingly run the risk of failure... Technology will play an important role in supplying water to the billions of future urban dwellers," said Sharon Nunes, vice president for Big Green Innovations at IBM. Dow, who have their own 2015 Sustainability goals driving quality and access to drinking water, are focusing their technologies on the problems of fresh water scarcity. Speaking of the collaboration with IBM, Neil C Dawkins, vice president, Sustainability, said: "Participating in IBM's multi-stakeholder GIO on water certainly allowed us to...exchange ideas on how technology can held address the challenges we face." Dow have reduced wastewater globally by 38% despite production rising by 32% since 1994.

Machine uptime most critical for H2O Express Water Vending
For H2O Express, C-Secure was the clear choice to enable machines in and around Fort Worth Texas with smart remote management. CEO, Lori Leavitt Evans, met with the Prime Minister, Minister of Works, Minister of Youth and other officials in Namibia this month to discuss the technology needs of the country. Vehicle tracking, specifically theft prevention and locating, is important. Also discussed were water vending and bottling of fruit juices, all remotely monitored and managed.

Hawkeye and C-Secure match up for water vending in Dallas
C-Secure enabled first-mover water vending machines in the U.S. that fill any size bottle, from 3 ounces up to 5 gallons with it's launch in Dallas with Matt Truelove of Hawkeye. "C-Secure was able to configure a solution to work with a non-MDB system, which is unique and just what we needed. Before meeting C-Secure we thought we'd have to make a big investment switching to Dex, and then still wouldn't have any remote management providers that understood water. C-Secure gets it."

Cellular M2M Communications Market to Grow to $8 Billion
According to ABI Research, revenues for cellular M2M communication services will rise from approximately $2 billion in 2006 to more than $8 billion in 2012. A new study by the firm describes a landscape of cellular M2M service providers that shows increasing variety in its business models. Their research identifies three classes of providers, each offering a different mix of capabilities. Traditional mobile network operators (MNOs), mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs), and a small number of specialized M2M mobile operators (MMOs) will all see challenges and opportunities.
